What Is The Convergent Event?

The Convergent Event is an original contemporary science-fantasy universe created by Dakota Keegan Colley and brought to life by an international team of independent artists.

Thirty years ago, ordinary people across the world began encountering mysterious Books. The first person to open one becomes permanently bonded to an Entity—an ancient, non-human intelligence that only its Convergent can see or hear.

Through that bond, the Entity’s nature manifests as extraordinary abilities, filtered through the human host’s body, psychology, emotions, and instincts. These powers can be remarkable, but they are never without limitations or consequences. Convergents remain human: they can be exhausted, injured, manipulated, feared, celebrated, and killed.

The world knows that superhuman individuals exist, but it cannot see the Entities behind them or fully understand what is happening. Governments, scientists, religions, corporations, criminals, and ordinary citizens are all left to interpret the phenomenon through incomplete evidence—transforming Convergents into heroes, villains, celebrities, weapons, fugitives, and symbols.

The Convergent Event is not one story about chosen heroes saving the world. It is a shared anthology universe exploring the deeply personal relationships between humans and the Entities permanently bound to them—and the global consequences of extraordinary power appearing without explanation, permission, or purpose.
